I wish it may, I wish it might

As Disneyland Park’s Wishes Nighttime Spectacular prepared to return for a second season, there was no shortage of wishes for improvements and alterations to this controversial “light and sound spectacular”. After its launch in 2005 for The Happiest Celebration On Earth, despite an overall positive reaction, some fans just wished for more fireworks to be added to the show… This year, their wish has come true!

Storming of the Bastille (part 2)

This year’s Bastille celebrations are still a hot topic amongst resort fans, with more reports coming in from the problematic night and the causes behind the technical glitches. As we reported two days ago, Karl Holz was watching the events himself in Disneyland Park, and Raptor1982 from Photos Magiques, who was stood nearby, gives this report of the night’s complications:

July 14th. The biggest French national holiday and one of the best days of the year for Disneyland Resort Paris. Unfortunately, the evening celebrations of 2006 were hampered by technical problems across the board…

The silly old bear finds a new home

Deep in the hundred acre wood, a whole new enchanted neighbourhood has just been created. The new adapted version of Winnie the Pooh and Friends, Too opened for previews at the Fantasy Festival Stage yesterday, with a totally reworked show placing more emphasis on musical numbers, scenery and effects.

Long Summer days begin tomorrow!

Tomorrow sees the long-awaited return of the Summer Magic season in Disneyland Resort Paris, with the parks’ largest ever entertainment offering and late-night Disneyland Park opening presented along with a few special new treats for 2006.

Emporium uncovered

On the 28th February 2006, the Emporium at Town Square on Main Street, U.S.A. was packed in a full wrapping of scaffolding and tarp for a major exterior refurbishment. Now, over four months later, here’s the finished result! Thanks to Disneytheque.com for this photo by DJinspace.

Race Rally puts pedal to the metal

Whilst the construction site of Crush’s Coaster has sped ahead with a fully completed coaster track, half complete dark-ride track and huge concrete or steel frame walls on every side, the site of Cars Race Rally has remained an empty patch of dirt for many months. All that has changed in the last 24 hours, however, as member “Zurg” on Disney Central Plaza forum brings new construction photos showing the start of foundations for the ride.

A spectacular character candles collection

Disneyland Resort Paris will celebrate its 25th Anniversary in spectacular fashion from April 2007, and one of the highlights at Disneyland Park will be a special character decoration all over the castle! An impromptu Summer “Fantasy in the Sky”

Disneyland Resort Paris did something quite remarkable this year. For the first time in over five years, Disneyland Park remained open until 11pm on Saturdays in June, with a special fireworks show to entertain the crowds at park closure.

Hang onto your hats and glasses…

…’Cause this here will be the longest refurbishment in the wilderness! After many years of neglect in the rough Parisian weather, the ochre peaks of our park’s Big Thunder Mountain are soon due to get their biggest brush-up in the history of the attraction.

Lights! Camera! Diversion!

The rumoured diversion of Disney Cinema Parade in Walt Disney Studios Park has now begun. Due to extensive construction work in Animation Courtyard as part of a large “place-making” project to spruce up the land and give it more Disney theme, detail and beauty, the parade now travels solely through Production Courtyard and Backlot.

Adding more Terror to the Tower…
