Disney’s Hollywood Studios and what it means to Paris

For only the third time in their history (following EPCOT Center and Euro Disneyland) Disney are renaming an entire park. Ending years of speculation, Walt Disney World have announced the new name — Disney’s Hollywood Studios — and a package of new additions to relaunch the renamed park. But what does this mean for Paris?

Toon Studio: Countdown continues every day

As eager fans and guests arrived at Disneyland Resort Paris on 9th June for the official public inauguration of Toon Studio and its two new attractions, they thought the countdown was finally over… infact, it will continue each and every day this Summer!

No hurlin’ on the shell, dude! Just installed it!

ImageToon Studio is finally a real part of Walt Disney Studios Park, dude! First you were all like “whoa”, and we were like “whoa”, and you were like “whoa…!!!” …And now, little over one week later, the Imagineers’ final details are still springing up across the new land. Adding an important extra touch of ‘character’ to the land are both the brand new Sorcerer Mickey statue and this - a “totally awesome” addition - the real Crush’s Coaster entrance sign.

Toon Studio: Almost ready

ImageThe Toons are almost ready to go public! What do you need before a premiere? A test screening! This weekend, an opening in the blue construction fences of Toon Studio appeared and more than 2,000 invited guests got the chance to sample its two new attractions and unique themeing. Not only that, but some new Cast Member costumes and the first appearance of the land’s brand new logo!

Ink & Paint for Animation Courtyard

ImageAnimation Courtyard has followed the production of an animated film throughought its drawn-out placemaking project - from the first tentative sketches (Monsters Inc Scream Scene) this time last year to full storyboards (concept art) in more recent months. Now, the whole project is in full production, everything coming together with Ink & Paint - which means a lot of new colour and a whole lot of lines.
