Woody’s elaborated roundup village

01-woodysroundup-00.jpgThe new Woody’s Roundup Village has been given extra props and new details to expand its toy cowboy theme. The area on the far side of Frontierland, previously the Critter Corral animal farm, had only a minimal overlay when it first opened at the start of the Halloween festival.

Woody’s Roundup right here, today!

ImageWoody’s Roundup has pulled on its cowboy boots and opened for business already, this past weekend! Greeting guests months earlier than expected, the area now functions as both a Halloween makeover workshop and meet ‘n’ greet with the “Roundup Gang” — Woody and Jessie — themselves.

Father Christmas Village officially confirmed

ImageYou’ve no doubt seen the construction for ‘Woody’s Roundup Village‘ in Frontierland, read the rumours of a rustic reindeer ranch theme for Christmas and noticed that Goofy will be taking over Father Christmas’ Town Square spot this year… but no official word on the project has yet been given, until today.

Woody’s Roundup grows with rootin’ tootin’ roofs!

ImageCritter Corral is changing fast. The former children’s farm in the sleepy backwaters of Frontierland recently began to receive some brand new wooden buildings, which have now taken on a more “Rootin’ Tootin’” appearance and some impressive roofspans for the future Woody’s Roundup.

Bougillumination Enchantée and Dreams of Christmas

ImageEXCLUSIVE in English. Before we’ve even had chance to anticipate the spooks and spectacles of Halloween, another giant seasonal celebration comes along and boosts itself “to the power of 15.” Disney’s Christmas Season begins on 10th November 2007, with the release this week of a brand new (not to mention spectacular) decorations visual and an exciting press release — in French. Luckily for you, we’ve translated it…

Halloween festival launches to the power of 15

ImageThe official website and advertising materials have now officially launched for the 2007 Halloween season at Disneyland Resort Paris, with the tagline “Halloween to the power of 15″ and a style which suggests the festival may return more to its Frontierland roots following several slightly confused years. The launch also includes the new festival logo and some photos to advertise the Disney Villains’ Halloween Showtime

Alpha Bet You Are going to miss us, aren’t you?

Image“Following the letters, the letters, the letters…” goes the music of Alpha Bet You Are, the 25th Anniversary’s most unique piece of streetmosphere. But don’t follow them for too long, because before you know it you’ll be outside the park, in storage. The daily cavalcade of letters spelling the word “Disneyland” in character-themed costumes officially comes to an end on 30th September 2007.

New buildings behind the walls of Critter Corral

ImageAs word continues to spread about the future of Critter Corral and the Cottonwood Creek Ranch area of Frontierland, maybe we should mark the final few months when this corner of the Western landscape presents “life on the ranch” as you’d expect it in plain reality — painfully quiet. Clues and surprises for the future can be found behind the famous green construction fences themselves…

Agrabah Café to reopen, but not for street rats

ImageWhen the Adventureland pages were updated on DLRP Magic! several weeks ago, charting the ‘Closed & Replaced’ features of the land wasn’t such a magical task. But, little did we all know, one of the most mythical and frequently missed former locations would suddenly present itself for a reopening later this year. However, to experience Agrabah Café, you’ll now need to be truly “one jump ahead”

‘Spooktacular’ Halloween for the 25th Anniversary

ImageA new press release has just been published confirming the main events for the 2007 Disney’s Halloween Festival. As expected, it’s a Halloween with a twist - the Pumpkinmen, Pink Witches, Stitch and the Disney Villains all return, but they’re going to be vying for attention against the regular 15th events, apparently continuing as normal. So no Maleficent dancing to “Tous en train!” then, sorry.

Keelboats finally return! Critter Corral next?

ImageThey willthey won’t… they did! The River Rogue Keelboats finally reopened to the public this weekend after spending more than seven years out of service. Now that’s magic. But, as the park crosses another box on its Frontierland “to do list”, it appears they’re already hard at work on the next project for the Far West… and this one might not be a simple re-opening.

Bastille Day goes with a bang, without blunder

ImageIn pictures and video. If there’s one thing Disneyland can do well (when they’ve permission, at least), it’s big fireworks. Unfortunately, guests at the Bastille Day events of 2006 might not have been too sure, watching in confusion as none of the large shells burst into the sky as they should have done. For this 25th Anniversary year, though, luck hasn’t strayed from the side of the resort for one moment…

Keelboats: River Rogues live up to their name

ImageIt’s happening again. For two weeks running, the River Rogue Keelboats have not returned to the Rivers of the Far West as planned. Their announced 7th July grand re-opening came and went without a splash, and now the Coyote and Raccoon have missed the vital 14th July weekend. With the days of the Summer season melting away, is it too late again for the River Rogues?
