  1. I think it helps if you dont compare the disney resort hotels to other hotels in general-they are as a whole a bit tired decor wise they are 15 years old and could do with refurbs and you probably wouldnt pay the sort of money for dated hotel rooms-however in the context of Disney resort hotels I would say that we have stayed here twice and rooms were clean and tidy and were just fine for what we needed them for-somewhere to sleep and shower (we visited in summer so really were only in the rooms from approx 11pm -8am).

Staff on reception were friendly and my requests for travel cot, kettle and bottle warmer were fulfilled promptly.

We had a montana room which meant we were in the main building which was handier. The location is good and the walk to the parks in a pleasant stroll (although it always seems longer on the way home after a busy day at the parks!)

Think this would be a nice one to stay in winter time because of the themeing.
we are planning to stay in hotel New york for our next visit for a change and a tad more luxury but we would return to the sequoia again if we watching the pennies.

  2. I have stayed here once but if I’m honest I wouldn’t choose to stay here again. The room we had looked a little run down with a broken light bulb and slightly tatty furnishings but it was a few years ago and maybe things are better now. Location is good with a short walk to the Village and parks. The swimming pool is one of the best in the Disney Hotels and the restaurant was fine.

  3. Disney’s Sequoia Lodge is a very good Disney hotel but one problem we had when staying there in July 07 was that you had to wait ages for a member of staff to come and put something in/out of the safe deposit boxes. The hotel is excellently themed with the Canadian style and the bar is the best looking bar I’ve been into, ever! Rooms are also very nice, with the option of a mini-bar in the room as well. I didn’t get to go into the swimming pool but I did see what it looks like and it looks like the best swimming pool out of all the Disney hotels.

I would recommend staying at Disney’s Sequoia Lodge but if you don’t need to put something in the safety deposit box (e.g. passport, wallet, camera etc…) you could enjoy your stay even more than I did.

  4. Canadian styled hotel, with one big main building and several detached buildings. This hotel is my personal favorite. It brings you a great price quality, a cousy woodlike atmosphere and it’s only a 10 minute walk to the parc. (passing disney village) The rooms are moderate, the beds are great, the room is also woodland styled and feels like home.

The bar (with a huge fireplace!) and restaurant are one of the best of the parc.

I can totally recommend this to everyone visiting the parc on a more day visit. It’s worth every penny…
